Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer (3 vacancies)

Responsible for the provision of broad and competent electrical and instrumentation engineering work for contract execution and proposal preparation of the Company's plant contracting business. Function as a member of a team, and at often times, in individual assignments.

Responsibilities

JOB DESCRIPTIONS:

• Advice Process Engineers in the selection of instrumentation and controls. Work out costings of plant control equipment during proposal phase.
• Develop technical specifications and incorporate process data for process control instrumentation, working in coordination with the Process Engineers.
• Coordinate with the Logistics team to acquire quotations from various suppliers, and to conduct careful and thorough evaluation of the selected equipment.
• Check and verify technical specifications against instruments to be procured and ensure all contractual requirements are met.
• Conduct functional tests on DCS and MCC Electrical panels during FAT prior to shipment to ensure its functionality.
• Engage in development of concepts for upgrading of existing process control features for plant optimization as and when required.
• Conduct physical inspections and verifications of all instruments procured, be it from local or overseas suppliers, to ensure its functionality and conformity prior to shipment to customers.
• Supervise and provide instructions on the installation and calibration of instrumentation and to participate in the commissioning of process plants and respective auxiliary equipment to ensure its specified performance.

Qualifications

• Degree or Professional Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with field instruments or relevant working experience; preferably experienced with Pressure, Temperature, Level Transmitter, Flow Instruments & Control Valves.
• Able to use Hart Communicator and field calibrators.
• Proficient to read electrical circuit diagram, process design & control/instrumentation with some knowledge on PLC or DCS.
• Technical knowledge skills in PID tuning of controller and trouble-shooting or calibrating instruments.
